Mesap is engaged in a series of study visits in Europe with the DIA – European Digital Industry Alliance project born in 2017 and with the aim of developing an internationalization strategy for SMEs focused on the Digital Industry. After the German stop that saw the consortium visit the PVA Tepla plant, on the way to a digital transformation functional to the production of vacuum furnaces and the prestigious RTO RWTH Aachen Campus, DIA flew to Eskiltsuna (Sweden) at DIGIMEET 2019 taking part to the opening of the MITC lab: a great day to discuss about digital challenges and opportunities together with the reagional autorities and the local companies. The aim of MITC is to establish the Mälardalen region as a competitive node for development, education and research in direct collaboration with the manufacturing industry. Areas of focus for are manufacturing, industrialisation, and product development with digitalisation and sustainability as cross-sectional areas. Lately particular focus is being put on advanced robotics, cyber-physical systems and artificial intelligence.): a place where the world of research and industry can cooperate profitably and turn the results of research into business opportunities for companies.
Mesap will also be a Cluster Ambassador at the IoT Solutions World Congress in Barcelona (29-31 October 2019), one of the world’s most important events dedicated to IoT solutions. The event, now in its fifth edition, represents an extraordinary opportunity for companies, associations and RTOs to meet in b2b and attend workshops on trends of IoT and Industry 4.0.
In 2018 the ISWC has seen the participation of more than 16,000 visitors from 120 countries and almost 350 exhibitors. This year will also be animated by Mesap and the partners of the project DIA – European Digital Industry Alliance: October 29 at 14.00 will give life – in concert with colleagues of the project Cyber Secure Light and European speakers – to a round table entitled Digital Industry: disruptive solutions to shape the future of SMEs, at the end of which you can participate in the b2b networking cocktail.
The event represents the return of almost 2 years of analysis on European SMEs and their path towards digital transformation, a mapping of European ecosystems to understand if and how much SMEs have improved their positioning by riding the opportunities of digital and their readiness to propose themselves outside the European borders.
